I am not one to post much of my personal life here. I'm a fairly private person. But, in this situation, the incredible network that is dA could be useful.

I was just laid off from my job, that I have been with for almost 3 years. Nothing I did, just company downsizing, a product of this bad economy.

What I need from you all is any possible job leads in the NorCal/Bay Area, or remote work. I have 3 years experience in account management/client services for a cdn/IP/colo company, but I'm open to just about anything right now. So yeh. If you have anything, let me know.

NIMBY is a local artist collective in Oakland that has done some amazing things for the local art community. They recently were required to move, due to zoning rules, and red tape, and while they are settled in their new space, permits, paperwork, and so on have raised their expenses much higher than they expected.

The corset will be black, cotton coutil, custom made to your measurements (or that special someone's measurements ). Takes up to 2 weeks to make. Winner can opt to purchase fabric upgrade for $20 (silk brocade corset retails for $400! She can get a variety of colors/patterns of brocade). Other changes and upgrades can also be purchased, such as stylistic adjustments (i.e. length change that requires longer boning, etc).

Winner will be drawn when all 150 e-tickets for the drawing are sold.
Since this is the first time she's doing this, I'm not sure how long that will take but if demand is high enough she may do this on a monthly or bimonthly basis! or switch it up with jewelry raffles and such

Shipping will follow policies on her etsy page. insurance and tracking are at the buyer/winner's expense, the raffle "includes" the same shipping policy as my etsy shop, which doesn't include these.

you could have a 1 in 150 chance to win a corset for $2! OR..if you buy out your limit (which is a ratio fairness thing, plus if you bought 150 tickets you may as well just buy one and it isn't saving you much money lol), then it becomes a 1 in 15 chance to win it for $20! those are good-ass odds.
